SLA Bioinert Implant Surface

The unique bioinert surface SLA provides a reliable physicochemical connection with the bone matrix, without being involved in the metabolism of bone tissue. High osseointegration is achieved by several complex processing of the titanium surface of the implant.

The first stage is sandblasting. As a result of the process of processing with particles of aluminum oxide (grains of different diameters), macro-roughness of the surface is achieved. At the second stage, the titanium implant is chemically treated. Intensive acid etching at elevated temperatures in different acids, allows you to get micro-indentations on the metal.

Roughness SLA, in contrast to smooth surfaces, increases bone-to-implant contact. Moreover, the surface itself is not microporous, which reduces the likelihood of bacterial colonization.

Osteoblasts growing on the surface of the SLA demonstrate the properties of highly differentiated bone cells, proving its osteoinduction, and allowing accelerated bone regeneration in areas where it is difficult or impossible. Thanks to SLA, the time of the clinical period before prosthetics is significantly reduced.

TITANIUM GRADE 4
